Despite the lockdowns in South East Queensland, vaccination rates in the west remain low.
The Federal Government released its Geographic Vaccination Report dated August 2 which showed 26.3pc of people aged 15 or over in Queensland's Outback had their first vaccination with 16.1pc having had their second vaccination.
These are the lowest rates in Queensland with parts of Brisbane reaching over 41pc of first vaccination and 24.5pc second dose.
The Qld Outback rates are among the worst in the country with NT Outback getting 34.3pc first vaccinations and 22.2pc second.
NWHHS COVID vaccine coordinator Toby Wicks told ABC they were getting close to 10,000 vaccinations at their Civic Centre clinic.
"For people who have a North West postcode listed and have had one or more of the coronavirus vaccines we are looking at about 30.6pc coverage," Mr Wicks said.
"We need more locals to step forward and be vaccinated."
Meanwhile Mount Isa Medical Centre said they have a batch of 180 Pfizer vaccines that must be used by Thursday.
The Centre said unvaccinated people aged 16 or over just need to turn up and they will be served on a first come first served basis.
They also said they were vaccinating at half capacity and encouraged all locals over 16 to come in and make an appointment.
Tuesday saw 53 people come through the drive-through testing clinic on Doreen Street.
The COVID-19 drive-through testing clinic will be open again today Wednesday 4 August 8am - 4:30pm. Please follow all signage.
