Packing an illustrious 20 years as one of Queensland’s finest arts organisations, ARIA-nominated Topology have become a staple sound of their hometown in Brisbane.
Topology have now teamed up with the State Library Queensland to create a time capsule of vintage film accompanied by a live original score performed by the band to paint a portrait of life in Queensland dating back to the early 20th century.
The work features an original score by Topology's Robert Davidson inspired by the sights and sounds of the past and a compelling compilation of Queenslanders’ everyday activities.
The tour will also incorporate workshops as part of the Top Up Music Education program, facilitating local students and community participants to compose their own live score to be featured at the performance alongside Queensland at Home.
The Queensland at Home tour will travel through regional Queensland until November.
Topology is also inviting the public to help preserve Queensland’s history and be a part of Queensland at Home - in a call out for vintage home movies and photographs from Hughenden and Winton.
If you have a piece of your history to add to the time capsule of Queensland at Home email christa@topologymusic.com.
Topology play Diggers Entertainment Centre Hughenden Thursday October 25 at 7pm and then Winton Open Air Cinema Friday October 26 at 7pm.
