Mount Isa City Council put out another update on the pool saying they are still on on track to open Splashez Aquatic Centre by the end of October.
“We're delighted with some of the finishing touches - including these amazing barbecue facilities,” Council said on their Facebook page.
“There will be three of them - perfect for a day at the pool with friends and family.”
The update comes two weeks after Council’s previous update which said the pool was on target to re-open by the end of October.
The pool has been closed since July 16 to undergo facility upgrades but plans to re-open were plagued first by major setbacks including the discovery of significant leaks requiring specialised repairs and structural work and then a substantial act of vandalism.
