Organisers Christine Mylchreest Team Leader for GP Training and Regional Medical Training and Senior Medical Education Officer Sabine Orda said the aim was to engage with doctors in the north west region both in hospital and private practice.
"Our objective is to get them to collaborate and chat in a social setting," Ms Orda said.
Ms Mylcreest said during GP training there wasn't a lot of communication between the Hospital and general practice as a rule.
"We have registrars in the hospital who we'd love to engage with general practice in town to retain them in the region, so getting everyone together with a breakfast was a simple way to do it."
The Doctors Breakfasts are held every three months and since its inception a year ago attendance numbers have doubled.
"Ninety-five per cent of the towns doctors attend the breakfast. There's some great food here and it's a great opportunity for them to network with other doctors in the community.
