Father Mick Lowcock said the whole Mount Isa community was invited to attend a time of solidarity with our Mount Isan Muslim and Polynesian communities.
The event will be held at 5.30pm, Friday at the Lumen Christi Centre at Good Shepherd Catholic College on Camooweal St (entry via gate 2 on Camooweal St).
"This short time of reflection will offer us all a time to reflect and remember those who were killed and those injured as well as their families and friends," Fr Mick said.
"We invited the community to join with representations of the Muslim and Polynesian communities and to express solidarity with our local families who are grieving with the tragic loss of 50 lives last Friday."
