Shadow treasurer Chris Bowen, shadow finance minister Jim Chalmers and Senator Chisholm said it was part of an extra $34.1m over three years for schools in the Kennedy electorate.
"Mount Isa School of the Air does incredible work connecting remote students in north west Queensland with teachers and other classmates, helping to break down the isolation children who live on remote properties experience," Mr Bowen said.
"Labor's extra funding will mean better resources and more one-on-one attention for students."
Mr Chalmers said they would pay for better state schools by closing loopholes at the top end of town and making multinationals pay their fair share.
"We will crack down on multinational tax avoidance and give our kids a better future by investing in schools," Mr Chalmers said.
