The deployment was an opportunity to engage with the community by building positive relationships.
Sergeant Amit Singh from Camooweal Station joined together with Sergeant Steve Lindsey from the Mount Isa Dog Squad, Constable Fraser Hutson from the Mount Isa CIB and Constable Matt Bowie from the property team.
The Doomadgee Shire Council and Doomadgee Youth Hub hosted a barbeque where the officers participated in a number of activities with the local youth.
Sergeant Amit Singh spoke with the locals about healthy life choices and looking after the community as well as taking pride in the town.
Throughout his talk, the youth asked Sgt Singh about playing sports in the evening and participating in more activities, which the Doomadgee Youth Hub was happy to take on board as a suggestion.
"If you have any ideas, the Hub has a suggestion box," Sgt Singh said.
"Lots of fun was had with a game of pool, decorating bike helmets and making necklaces."
