Parking will be limited to between 6am and 9pm each day, with a sign to be installed at the entrance informing motorists of the parking conditions.
The sealed carpark will only be available to caravans, campervans and RVs.
Access will be via Ada Street (off Shackleton Street), with yellow arrows on the road to provide direction for motorists.
A litter bin will be made available at the site, however the facility does not have toilet facilities or access to water.
Pedestrian access to Rodeo Drive will be via a set of stairs or ramp midway along the area.
Solar street lighting will be installed over the next few weeks.
All tourists, visitors and travellers are welcome to use the facility, but are asked to ensure they leave the site in a clean and tidy manner and show courtesy for other fellow users when parking.
Council will seek permits from the Department of Transport and Main Roads for the installation of permanent directional and information signage along Marian Street, once the department has completed its median-strip works on Marian Street.
Council's Parks and Gardens team members will be undertaking beautification work at the site over the next week.
