They are just some of the needs people need around Mount Isa - and that's where Workways Australia comes in with its Work for the dole program.
Mount Isa Workways work for the dole Supervisor Lisa-Marie Morris said the program assisted the community with specific needs.
"We are a not-for-profit organisation that looks to help where there are shortages in the community." Ms Morris said.
"We found out the Mount Isa hospital needed more bunny rugs for newborn babies so we were quick to get knitting."
It's not just the hospital that is benefitting, according to Ms Morris.
"The nursing home raised concerns that they didn't have enough pillows, blankets and activity mats for dementia patients so we jumped on that," she said.
"We also made laundry liners for the Spinifex Residential College, after being informed the students were desperate for something to carry their washing in." Ms Morris said.
Workways Australia Ltd has been providing employment, youth, community and environmental services to communities across Eastern Australia for more than 30 years.
