A fire burning at Duchess started on Christmas Eve (December 24) after dry storms passed through the region.
The fire is currently under control, but is believed to have burnt bushland of local stations including Mayfield, Bushy Park, Ashover and Devoncourt.
According to local authorities, fire crews were removed at 10am on Friday December 27 and left to local landholders.
The fire is continues to burn near Duchess Airstrip.
A second fire is burning south of Cloncurry and west of McKinlay.
The fire burning in the ranges started on December 27 and is unaccessible to local fire crews.
The area burning has been inspected by helicopter and there is no immediate threat.
Locals will continue to monitor the fire.
