Ms Carson said Savour Life, an Australian petfood company, recently launched a $50,000 donation project to help out rescue groups from all over Australia.
"In the initial phase of the program, the public were invited to vote for their favourite rescue group on Savour Life's Facebook page. From these results 30 groups were to be shortlisted for the final stage," Sue said.
"Once again the public have been asked to vote over a ten day period. Then an amazing $50,000 will be distributed to these groups ranging in values from the first place-getter right through to the last place. Everyone wins."
Sue said PHC have made the shortlist of thirty after a total of over 7000 votes were registered.
"We cannot believe that we have been chosen from hundreds of other deserving rescue groups," she said.
"Now it is up to our followers to support us by voting for PHC."

Meanwhile Sharon Sellings alias Shaz from Mount Isa cooking duo Jac N Shaz is among the many in Mount Isa who take on foster carer duties for Paws Hoofs and Claws.
Ms Sellings, who returned to our TV screens on My Kitchen Rules this year after a four year absence, posted this image on her "mixingwithshaz" Instagram account yesterday saying "seven new foster babies joined us last night in almost every colour imaginable".
"These little guys make working from home so much more fun," Ms Sellings said. "I'm so pleased to be able to support Paws Hoofs & Claws and the amazing work they do."
