Mount Isa has seen 13mm of rain fall since 12.40am and it was still raining at 7am.
The forecast for the rest of Monday is for cloudy conditions to remain and a very high (90%) chance of showers, becoming less likely later tonight.
There is also the chance of a thunderstorm, possibly severe with damaging winds, heavy rainfall and large hail.
On Tuesday there is a slight (20%) chance of a shower in the early morning giving way to a sunny afternoon with max temperatures jumping back up to 34 degrees.
It will be sunny for the rest of the week with temperatures into the mid 30s though there is a 30pc chance of rain for next Sunday.
Camooweal has had 9.0mm, Cloncurry 2.8mm, Urandangie 7.6mm and Lake Julius 5.2mm.
It has been mostly dry so far in the Gulf though Century Mine has got 6.2mm.
Lake Moondarra is at 51.2pc full while Lake Julius is at 83.6pc.
