Lucy recently found herself on death row after her owners left the city last year and her new owners surrendered her to the pound.
Now living in rural New South Wales, Lucy's original owner was distressed to hear of the situation and contacted Sue Carson at Paws Hoofs and Claws.
The organisation stepped in and rescued Lucy, It took her into foster care for several weeks to improve her health.
Lucy was finally deemed healthy enough to travel and was booked on a Brisbane flight by a contractor who oversaw her relocation.
``Lucy is now exploring the five-acre property in New South Wales where she will spend her latter days in comfort, being spoiled by her original owners,'' Mrs Carson said.
