The group's Selfless Self-eez campaign was launched at the start of this year to raise money for Aussie Helpers, a charity group providing support for Australian farmers struggling through droughts, floods and all other calamities.
Selfless Self-eez founder Lyn Heath said blue ribbons popped up along the coast from Cairns to Tasmania, but there was still plenty more to be sold to spread awareness and meet her $50,000 fund-raising goal.
A glitch on the official Aussie Helpers Facebook page prevented people from posting their blue-ribbon selfies but Mrs Heath said she hoped to see more people getting involved now that the issue was fixed.
``There's also a school in Townsville that has used it as a learning experience for kids at the school and are teaching them about farming and drought,'' she said.
``It would be a good thing to encourage more schools to do this because it teaches the young ones about what it's all about.''
Mount Isa residents can purchase Selfless Selfeez ribbons at The North West Star office on Camooweal Street and Bella Duck on the corner of Rodeo Drive and Miles Street.
