Jac and Shaz are attempting to cook their way to the top, with victory on Sunday evening earning the pair a spot in Monday night’s final against Will and Steve.
So far in the competition, Jac and Shaz have never found themselves in the bottom two, having won two People’s Choice competitions.
But their WA opponents have a knack for getting through and coming out on top.
Workmates Eva and Debra have undergone the redemption round and pulled through two sudden death episodes, all while winning a People’s Choice and receiving the highest score ever for the instant restaurant round.
Jac and Shaz said they were up against some tough competition with Eva and Debra but all they could do was do their best.
“We can only hope that we do better than the other team on the day,” they said.
“It is hard work and long hours but very enjoying and satisfying to get a good result.”
Jac and Shaz said the most terrifying moment throughout the whole experience was when the judges took the first bite.
“It’s the judges when they put that first mouthful in their mouths,” they said.
“They have the best poker faces in Australia – you have no idea what they are thinking.”
Being so close to the end of the show, Jac and Shaz said they just needed to hang in there and step up their game, as “it is now do or die” for them if they want to win.
