These ideas were suggested by some of the 20 attendees of a community meeting held at Outback at Isa on Saturday.
The ideas made will be recorded by consultant Richard Elliott, who would likely have put together the preliminary suggestions in a report by Friday.
The meeting was held under the patronage of the Mount Isa to Townsville Economic Zone (MITEZ).
The development group’s chief executive Glen Graham said the report would be an advantage for various groups in pursuit of funding for these projects. Requests for funding would be strengthened by report made by a reputable consultant, Mr Graham said.
Mount Isa Entertainment Tourism Venues’ business manager Angela Matveyeff suggested activities such as parasailing, and a mountain bike trail that connected to Mount Isa.
“We can tap into bike events that happen. Mountain bike people have very deep pockets as well and we like that,” she said.
