Head Engineer for Terrain Tamer 4WD Parts in Melbourne, Allan Gray become a bit of a celebrity in the 4WD community in recent years, after the introduction of the ‘Ask Allan’ DVD segment for a national magazine.
After 14 episodes, four-wheel drivers around the country wanted more from the man they had come to call ‘The Engine Whisperer’.
Mr Gray recruited his nephew Andrew and together they have produced The Project, The Apprentice and Masterclass, which aired across Foxtel, 7Mate and in prominent 4WD magazines and social media.
In 2017, Mr Gray and his nephew met up with YouTube sensation Jess Edwards – better known as Jillaroo Jess.
Ms Edwards is a truck driver and station-hand who gained attention after a ‘Truckie Safety’ video she created highlighting the dangers of vehicles attempting to overtake her three trailer Kenworth cattle truck.
The footage taken in the Mount Isa region will become the company’s next video series “Terrain Tamer Goes Mustering”.
The new video series set for release later in the year will showcase the ruggedly beautiful outback landscapes that Mount Isa has to offer to viewers all over the world.
The theme of the series incorporates the rebuild of a BJ70 Toyota LandCruiser as a mustering vehicle that can withstand the harsh demands of Isa’s conditions.
