The Mount-Isa-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue aeromedical crew were tasked to the scene at 10:50am.
He was transported to Mount Isa Hospital for further treatment.
LifeFlight is a community-based charity funded and supported by the LifeFlight Foundation who performed 5344 missions in Queensland last year.
