At 5.40pm on Monday Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were called to put out a blaze at an historical building in Boulia.

A spokesperson from QFES said when the first crew arrived the building was fully engulfed.
No other buildings were impacted by the inferno and fire crews worked until after 11pm dampening hotspots.
The building was located next to the Riverside Roadhouse on Herbert Street in Boulia.
A fire investigator returned on Tuesday to inspect the damage.
Queensland Police Service have declared the area a crime scene and are guarding the ruins.
