Christmas cheer and joy will be in plentiful supply for Mount Isa elders aged 60 and over.
They are warmly invited to attend and enjoy not just a delicious, traditional Christmas-themed lunch, but also musical bingo, giveaways and entertainment on the big screen.
The free event will be held on Thursday December 6 from 12pm-2pm at the Mount Isa Civic Centre on West Street. Doors will open at 11.30am.
Mayor Joyce McCulloch said the Christmas lunch was an important way to recognise the community’s senior citizens during the holiday season and thank them for everything they’ve done.
People who are interested in attending are strongly urged to register for the day by Monday, December 3 by calling the Civic Centre on 4747 3300, for catering purposes.
