“Coming to parkrun really makes the day, you feel good and are a lot more productive,” Danae said.
Tobias joined the Mount Isa parkrun about four months ago, while Danae has been a member for about five years.

Tobias has noticed a change in his fitness ability since joining.
“I’ve lost weight, toned up and I feel like I have a lot more energy to sustain me throughout the day,” he said.
Before she joined the parkrun at Mount Isa, Danae was a committed member at Wodonga’s parkrun.
She is pleased that she has been able to maintain her personal best time.
Tobias and Danae both regularly volunteer but they said more people need to come on board to ensure the event can continue to run each week.
The event takes place at Tharrapatha Way, on the corner of Davis Road and Urquhart Street in Mount Isa.
The event is free but participants are required to register before their first parkrun.
Every parkrun participant receives a barcode which can be used to record a personal time. Visit www.parkrun.com.au/mountisa
