Boxes of flowers are scheduled to arrive at the Mount Isa Florist in Miles Street next week in preparation for the biggest day of the year for romantics.
Florist and owner, Tuteru Tuteru, better known as Toots, said ditch the usual red-coloured roses for something more colourful and quirky this Valentine’s Day.
“Red, blue, green, orange, pink, white and yellow coloured flowers will put the sparkle into your loved ones eyes,” Toots said.
“We still have roses, of course, but we also have other assorted flowers that will make the arrangement pop and look effective,” she said.
She said this year they will be open over the weekend, February 9-10 to take orders for Valentine’s Day.
“Don’t be disappointed, order your arrangements before Valentine’s Day, not on the day,” Toots warned.
A unique islander style is the trade mark of her flower arrangements and this is also found in her hampers designed either for male or female loved ones, and can be made to order.
