Mates Men's Shed organiser Gary Osman said Mates Men's Shed is a fully inclusive men's shed for all men over 16 years old whether mainstream, indigenous, cultural or men with disabilities.
"Our first tool box meeting is this Friday 9.30am to 12.30pm and will be held weekly at the same time," Mr Osman said.
"Cost is $5 and smoko is supplied, membership is $25 which includes a insurance levy of $20 which is compulsory National Men's Shed Association insurance policy that covers all men's shed activities."
Mr Osman said the Mates Men's Shed would begin community work, building its first tool shed, an activities shed and refurbishment work.
'We will also organise activities at different times to suit members' choice of yarning activities," he said.
Mates Men's Shed will be held each Friday at the Neighbourhood Centre, Marian St, Mount Isa.
