Mount Isa Rodeo Queen Quest Entrant Aimee Sewell held a Colour for Kids Festival Disco on Friday March 29 with 350 children attending the event.
"Colour powder was provided, so all the kids could join in the fun with six colours to chose from," Ms Sewell said.
"We had a colour drop. So when the music base dropped colour was sprayed all over the kids.
"We also had a special dance off between the police dog mascot and big buff, providing entertainment for everyone."
Ms Sewell said the event was to provide an affordable and accessibly event for children in the Mount Isa community.
"This was displayed by having a $2 entry fee. I wanted the event to provide a safe and entertaining time."
"It was fantastic! The event was very special with two other rodeo queen entrants Kate Lovett and Bron Myers joining in on the fun also.
"This was very much a community engagement event rather then a bulk fundraising event. I love putting on events for children in the community and a main reason why I chose my charity PCYC."
Money from Ms Sewell's rodeo queen events will go to the Mount Isa PCYC for crime prevention through youth development.
