The Buffs Club Mount Isa were also nominated for other categories including dining, social club, community and overall best club in North Queensland however were unsuccessful.
"Any club that is a member of Clubs Queensland could nominate for the awards under any category they want to," Ms Graham said.
"Even though we did not place in the other categories we received valuable feedback that we hope to implement across the board.
"For us it is not necessarily about winning any of the awards but more what we can do for our community.
"We are a non-for-profit club so we will continue to give back to our community."
