Held from May 4-6, the Tri Chapter Challenge is an annual event held between Mount Isa, Alice Springs and Darwin HOGs clubs in Renner Springs as a social, competitive and fun weekend for members.

Assistant Director David Schraag said each club took turns hosting the event and they would usually win the event due to a fun but corrupt points system.

"Points are deducted to teams for different things like if they break down," Mr Schraag said.

"There is perpetual trophy and bragging rights up for grabs and it makes for a bit of fun while supporting a worthwhile charity.

"As Mount Isa HOGs organised the event this year we got to choose who the event proceeds went to."

Eighteen Mount Isa members hosted the event with all proceeds going to the Sisters of the North charity to support North West farmers affected by the flood in February.

"The event was a big success with $3500 being raised by all three clubs," Mr Schraag said.

"This year we raised money through an auction with each rider being asked to bring an item."

Sisters of the North founder Susan Dowling said this donation would contribute to the one million dollars already raised for flood affected farmers.

"We are born and bred out of the Cloncurry floods and it has been a massive roller-coaster ride for the last four months since the event," Ms Dowling said.

"This money will be distributed to farmers for them to spend in their local communities."
