Information provided to The North West Star, reports that Western Australia mining company Pilbara Minerals Limited had made an offer on CuDeco, who suspended operations in 2018.
A source told the Star, Pilbara Minerals Limited offered $30m for 90 per cent of the company, but the board of directors declined the offer.
The North West Star asked Pilbara Minerals Limited for clarification and said, "Pilbara Minerals can confirm it has not made any offer to purchase CuDeco Limited."
CuDeco said, "there has been no further update since their previous ASX announcement."
The mine officially opened in 2016 but suspended operation in September 2018 pending "finalisation of a suitable long-term funding arrangement".
