
The Queensland Ambulance Service was tasked to Birdsville's annual iconic event, Big Red Bash, after a call that a patron was badly affected by a substance.
On Thursday July 18, QAS attended the Big Red Bash event and assisted a male patient in a critical condition at 10.30pm.

When crews attended the scene it was reported the patient consumed a quantity of home-brewed alcohol.
The patient was flown to Charleville Hospital by the Royal Flying Doctors Service, with further transport expected to Brisbane.
The man's condition is unknown at this time.
