The old bridge was demolished in May and the new bridge will be 900mm higher and wider than the previous structure.
Mount Isa City Council Director of Engineering Emilio Cianetti said earthworks at the eastern end of the bridge would undertake on August 19.
"This will bring the approaches up to level with the finished level of the bridge and in preparation for the finishing touches at this end," Mr Cianetti said.
"The apron and abutment works have just been completed. Once cured, the deck installation will commence. This is expected to start on August 26 and will be completed by the second week of September.
"Culvert installation work will follow the completion of the deck. After the deck has been completed, the roundabout works will commence."
With the schedule on track for completion in November, Mr Cianetti said there was still risks to the progress.
"The only risk to the program is the schedule of works for communications and electrical assets (e.g. Telstra, Ergon Energy, NBN, Optus), due to the specialised nature of work," he said.
"Scheduling for this is dictated by the availability of specialised contractors which are not local to Mount Isa."
