Now living on the Gold Coast, Codie-Lea Lynch, 21, and Nathan Bereyne, 25 entered on the show after their relationship was discouraged by Nathan's mother Laurelle.
During the Channel 7 show, Laurelle said Codie-Lea was "a plastic barbie girl".
Despite the conflict Nathan wanted his mother to attend the wedding and the reality show helped the couple to work through their problems to ideally have the perfect wedding.
The wedding of Codie-Lea and Nathan took place in May and aired on TV on Sunday November 10.
The night before the wedding Nathan met with his mother one last time to convince her to be there on his big day.
"Codie-Lea and I have worked so hard, we have come in here giving it our all 120 per cent to make things work and I would really like for her (Laurelle) to show up," Nathan said.
Laurelle indicated that her mind was already made up and would not be attending the wedding.
"I want to be there tomorrow for you wedding - but I am so hurt by what's happened that I can't," Laurelle said.
On the wedding day, the question mark of Laurelle's attendance remained and Nathan was anxiously waiting at the alter for his mum to arrive.
While everyone else was seated, Laurelle was the last to walk in before the ceremony started.
"You look amazing," Laurelle said to Nathan.
"I was proud of Nathan standing there, I couldn't talk. I was a bit gobsmacked for words.
"I wanted to see the love between him and Codie-Lea. I want to be a part of of his, Codie-Lea and my granddaughter's lives."
As Codie-Lea walked down the aisle, Nathan was in awe, and fought back tears while saying his vows.
"I felt like I had seen her for the first time again," Nathan said.
"I think this is one of the most exciting times of my life."
Laurelle agreed and said Codie-Lea looked amazing.
"I can't say in words how amazing she looked," she said.
"I could feel the love in the room and you could see it between Codie-Lea and Nathan."
The ceremony concluded and Nathan swept Codie-Lea off her feet and carried her out of the ceremony.
"I feel so happy and that our little family is so complete," Codie-Lea said.
