Mount Isa City Council decked the halls and prepared wholesome food for its annual event which gives back to the elder members of our community.
A jolly atmosphere welcomed anyone over the age of 60 to present themselves to the occasion.
The annual event was held in the auditorium of the Mount Isa Civic Centre on Thursday December 5.
Mount Isa Mayor Joyce McCulloch said the council puts on three senior lunches a year with this one being the biggest.
"It is a chance for us to recognise how our seniors continually give to our community," Cr Joyce said.
"Over the last few years we have ramped up this special day from the entertainment, the food and even the amount of people we take in.
"This year has been the biggest one yet with 260 attendees."
Senior attendee Nancy Trindle said she enjoys herself every time she goes to the senior's Christmas lunch.
"I have been coming for about five years and it gets better and better," Ms Trindle said.
"The food is great, the entertainment is top notch and it is good chance to catch up with everyone."
