The Ronald McDonald House North Australia Charity Ball takes place this Saturday night from 6pm at Good Shepherd Catholic College to raise much-needed funds for Ronald McDonald House North Queensland in Townville.
Head organiser of the charity ball Larnah Puttock said this year they aim to raise more money than last year.
"Last year we raised $116,000 and we think we can do better this year," Ms Puttock said.
Over the past ten years the ball has raised a remarkable $1,773,500 in Mount Isa with this year being the eleventh year.
Ms Puttock said this year's ball was already off to a flying start.
"We have already sold so many sponsor tables and have even sold a lot to the public which has been absolutely amazing," Ms Puttock said.
"A lot of businesses have have also jumped on board with donations and raffles.
Ms Puttock said the night would be filled with entertainment.
"On the night we have two live bands, a three course meal and unlimited alcohol for $200 per person," she said.
"There is lots of games and prizes and the fun continues until one in the morning.
"Our naming sponsor this year is McDonalds and we also have gold sponsors as well."
Ms Puttock said there was a theme however it would be revealed on the night.
Local franchisee of McDonalds Mount Isa, Cristina Davis said she was excited at the opportunity to get behind a charity that provides so much for families in the region in their time of need, and understood how vital this support will be.
"My partner, sister and nephews have all used the house, so we know how important this charity is to these families," Ms Davis said.
"We sponsor the RMHC as we want to be able to give these families a place to stay without having to worry about costs and be able to be with their children."
Gold Sponsors include Isadraulics, LINMAR Cranes, Cava Hydraulics, Engineering, Mount Isa Mining Supplies, Mount Isa Mines, Bell and Moir Toyota.
In 2018 alone, Ronald McDonald house provided 1111 nightly stays for families from the North West.
