Well the prime minister reckons Guy is the guy for the Curry, as he confirmed to a gaggle of journalists today (Thursday) in Canberra.
Scott Morrison was announcing details of the government's $250m package for the arts and entertainment industry which employs 645,000 people, and Guy Sebastian happened to be there in the background nodding his approval of the plan.
One of the items in the package is $90m in government-backed concessional loans to fund new productions which the Prime Minister said was a similar practice the government used in flood relief.
"I remember when I was up in North Queensland up there when those terrible floods went through North Queensland," the Prime Minister said.
"We put together a package of grants for restocking and loans to support the restocking, secured against the stock. And the combination of those two things has actually helped them significantly up there.
It was during this conversation the PM spoke directly to Mr Sebastian.
"Guy, you can put Cloncurry on your tour list too, I know they'd be keen to see you," he said.
The 38-year-old singer rose to prominence as the winner of the first Australian Idol in 2003 and he represented Australia in the 2015 Eurovision and finished fifth.
