Queensland Ambulance Service said two male teenagers sustained serious injuries following a reported explosion on a private property 150km south of Prairie around 4.40pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The rescue chopper was deployed and the pair was airlifted to Townsville Hospital in stable condition
A 17-year-old was found with chest injuries, while a 15-year-old boy had suffered injuries to his hands.
The two teenagers received serious injuries believed to be from a welding torch.
