First it was hit with a devastating fire this time last year and then the global pandemic earlier this year.
This has left the holiday resort closed for the past four months but resort manager Michelle Low Mow says she is excited by the news the Queensland borders will soon open.
"The latest announcement said the borders will open to all states except Victoria on 10 July, and stage 3 will see other restrictions eased early on Friday July 3 with an increase for the number of people allowed in venues," Ms Low Mow said.
However Ms Low Mow highlighted Adels Grove was in a bio-security area.
"The Palaszczuk announcement didn't mention anything about the bio-security areas so we are still waiting to hear when we can open, we are part of the Burke Shire Council which has it's own borders shut," she said.
"Hopefully they give us time so we can plan all the bookings and they don't just make it a sudden change the next day or something like that.
Ms Low Mow said during the lockdown they have been keeping up with maintenance.
"We have new rules and regulations we have to meet in order to be COVID safe so we have been using our time to focus on that," she said.
"We are really excited to re-open and are hopeful we can have lots of happy tourists and things can go back to normal sooner rather than later."
The state government is expected to make an announcement on pandemic declared areas by end of this week.
Interstate tourism contributed $9.2 billion to the Queensland economy last year and incomes for 240,000 employees and tens of thousands of business in every part of Queensland.
