Chills Lifestyle Centre owner Chelsea Davis, started her health and wellness journey two years ago while she was a stay at home mum. She then turned her passion for nutrition and wellbeing into a business which recently outgrew her house.
Ms Davis opened Chills Lifestyle Centre at 17 Barkly Highway on November 6 to further assist the community of Mount Isa on their health and wellbeing journey.
"The business had grown too much to have all the clients coming to my house, so we have moved into this new space and are very excited to continue to serve Mount Isa," she said.
"We offer three free, fun, fitness classes a week, but what I am really focused on and passionate about is the nutrition bar and nutritional habits of people in the community.
"So what I offer is a pre-workout energy iced tea, which has antioxidants and gives you a bit of a lift and cleansing for your digestive system; as well as a post-workout chocolate goodness recovery shake."
Ms Davis' fitness classes include a Walk Fit session on Sunday 8.30am - 9.30am, Mummas Fit Club on Tuesday 9am - 9.30am and Fit Club session on Thursday at 6pm.
"We are open before and after these hours to cater for those who want a pre-workout and post-workout shake.
"Classes are open to all sex, ages and fitness levels. We have different levels of activities to accommodate for everyone's needs and injuries.
"We also cater personalised programs for the individual's nutritional needs."
Ms Davis said she also wanted to cater for mums, with the Mummas Fit Club on Tuesdays.
"We accommodate for them to bring their little ones with them while they work out, we have a play pen in the middle of our workout space for that exact reason." she said.
"Being a mum myself, I found it hard to find somewhere I could take a baby and a toddler and work out. In this environment the babies can climb all over you if they want to or there is the play pen, or the play room for older kids."
Ms Davis said she had a clientele of more than 100, and the response for the new premises has been overwhelmingly positive.
"The community response has been so supportive, anyone who has come in here always has positive feedback about what we are trying to do," she said.
"We have seen a jump in social media interest since we opened the new shop, we have more people inquiring about what we are doing here.
"I am so grateful that I have a great team here behind me, that includes my husband.
"Our programs are 80 per cent nutrition, 20 per cent fitness and 100 per cent mindset.
Chills Lifestyle Centre also plan to have pop up smoothie information days and nutrition nights in the future.
