Cloncurry Shire Council said this year's festival was back bigger and better than ever on September 9-12 and was a four-day jam-packed social event including a live cabaret performance from The Clints, a street party, Spring races and Sunday markets.
Around 1500 people attended the street party, attracting visitors from as far as New South Wales and Victoria.
There was live entertainment from Brad Cox, the Wet Whistles and Paw Patrol, a celebrity chef masterclass from Dominique Rizzo plus fan favourites the Mine Cart Rally and Curry Cook Off.
There were also free amusements for the whole family, food vendors and plenty of cold beer.
Cloncurry Mayor Greg Campbell said the Beat the Heat Festival Street Party aimed to suit families.
"It has also created an opportunity for locals and visitors to enjoy an event that promotes our major industries and showcases what a wonderful, friendly place Cloncurry is," Cr Campbell said.
"The Beat the Heat Festival will be a 'must do' on all travellers lists as well as an ideal reason for any Cloncurry-ites to visit."
The Cloncurry and District Spring Races saw 650 people enjoy a day of racing followed by a morning in the park at the Sunday Markets.
Cr Campbell said next year's Beat the Heat Street Festival is already back to full planning mode for September 2022 and was an event not to be missed by anyone.
Cloncurry Shire Council thanked event sponsors Queensland Government, Visit Queensland, Experience Outback Queensland, MMG Limited Dugald River, South32 Cannington Mine, Glencore Queensland Metals Ernest Henry Mining, Total Generators, and Auzscot Civil.
