Topology have teamed up with the Queensland State Library to create "Queensland at Home" - a time capsule of vintage film accompanied by a live original score performed by Topology that paints an evocative portrait of life in Queensland dating back to the early 20th Century.
They will be at Cloncurry Unearthed on May 16, Outback at Isa on May 18 and Richmond Civic Centre on May 19.
The live musical performance is an original score by Topology's Robert Davidson making Queensland at Home an experience of both sight and sound.
The tour will incorporate composition workshops as part of Topology's Top Up Regional programs.
John Babbage, Top Up Education Manager, is currently on the road in Central Queensland helping local students and community participants compose their own score to be performed live as part of Queensland at Home.
"We would like to invite members of the community to help preserve Queensland's history and be a part of Queensland at Home. If anyone has any film footage or photographs dating before 1930, we would love to incorporate these in our performance," Mr Babbage said.
"These will then be used as the back drop to the live performance of music written by local students and members of the community.
"It would be great to meet anyone from local historical groups or musicians who might also be interested in being part of our performance".
If anyone is wanting to share their family home movies or historical images for the performance, please contact John at john@topologymusic.com or via the Topology Facebook page.
In addition to the live performances, the tour will incorporate composition workshops as part of Topology's Top Up Regional programs.
