Originally from Coffs Harbour in New South Wales, Constable Jillian Few moved to Brisbane in 2016. She completed her first year of policing at Wynnum and Redland Bay stations.
From Brisbane, First Year Constable (FYC) Brianna Kelly was studying Criminology at university, before pursuing a career in policing. Once completing her studies at the Queensland Police Service Academy, she was posted to Mount Isa, along with her partner.
"We had always wanted to do a rural posting and the opportunity to come here together was given to us," FYC Kelly said.
Constable Matt Williams is originally from Cairns, however spent the last six years in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, working as an audio visual technician. He completed his first year of policing on the Sunshine Coast.
Constable Jacob Dawson is on his second tour of Mount Isa. Originally from Newcastle, he worked in hospitality prior to moving to Brisbane and joining QPS.
He completed his first and subsequent years of policing in Mount Isa, before transferring to Brisbane City station.
He and his partner then worked in Doomadgee for 12 months, before both transferring to Mount Isa Station last month.
Constable Benny Hsiao is originally from New Zealand and Taiwan, although has spent most of his life in Brisbane.
He completed his FYC training at Logan Central and Crestmead stations and prior to policing, he was a dental technician.
"I put Mount Isa very high up in my preference list and I'm so happy I landed the spot," FYC Hsiao said.
Constable Deanne Cowan is a third year constable.
Originally from Adelaide, she moved to the Gold Coast when she was 12 and prior to policing, studied forensic science at university and worked in hospitality.
She completed her first year of policing at Fortitude Valley and Brisbane City stations. She then worked 12 months in Doomadgee, before being transferred to Mount Isa Station last month.
"This district has given me exposure to so much that I wouldn't have seen anywhere else and the opportunities are endless," FYC Cowan said.
Prior to policing, Constable Josh Bentley was a concreter on the Gold Coast. He completed his first year of policing in Dalby.
"I chose Mount Isa, as I'd always heard good things about the place and wanted to meet new people," FYC Bentley said.
