Neither Jac and Shaz nor Channel Seven would comment, but there is strong evidence that the 2015 finalists are set to return in the 2020 series.
Robert McKnight of TV Blackbox said the pair were spotted in Coles at the Sydney suburb of Zetland near where the show is filmed.
Mr McKnight said the pair were filmed by a crew finding ingredients.
"Look for ginger, oranges, black pudding and eggs to feature in their menu," Mr McKnight said.
"Jacqui Bakhash and Sharon Sellings, the cousins from Queensland's Mt Isa, became fan favourites during season 6 in 2015."
Mr McKnight said their return was an attempt to boost flagging ratings of the Channel Seven show.
When contacted by the North West Star, Jac and Shaz remained tight-lipped.
"We aren't allowed to comment on these sorts of stories unfortunately," they said.
The pair reached the MKR final in 2015 where they lost by just two points.
At the time of the big reveal, Jac and Shaz were at the Mount Isa Race Club celebrating with family and close friends as they waited for the results.
The pair became nationally famous and ambassadors for the city and were honoured with a billboard on the highway near the airport.
