The awards showcase the growing Australian adult industry and Ms Taylor has been nominated in the categories of Adult industry journalism and media coverage, alpha female industry leader, Industry ambassador and Hall of Fame.
Ms Taylor who is based in the Atherton Tablelands but who has been working in Mount Isa for 10 years.
"I love coming here to Mount Isa, the people are really nice," Ms Taylor said.
"These are the same people all that time who are on their own and haven't got partners."
She has been a trailblazer in demystifying her occupation with her tales from the bedroom in her first book and subsequent television and magazine appearances.
"People don't talk about our industry because they don't know about it," Ms Taylor said.
"Some people think we are out there trying to steal husbands or we are all dodgy and things like that whereas actually we are not like that at all.
"It's our business, it's our job."
Ms Taylor's written and media work has seen her become an ambassador for her profession, reflected in the new award nominations.
"I didn't know these awards existed until I was nominated," she said.
"People can now vote for me as Taylor Tara Author."

The award nominations come as she signs another book deal for her "Memories From The Boudoir" which is rebadged under a new publisher from its original self-published title of "Mature Aussie Lady".
"It's good really well - I was really rapt last September when a publisher picked it up and changed the cover and name and released it in October," Ms Taylor said.
Ms Taylor is also putting together a follow up book.
"I'm not allowed to say too much about it yet," she said.
"It's a totally different angle but still has the same meaningful stories but on a slightly naughtier level which is what people seem to want."
