Community Connect is the Queensland government bringing the community together to build a more positive and connected community.
Community Connect manager Elva Metcalf said the program aimed to contribute to government objectives for the community focusing on positive and healthy behaviors in youth.
"We want to support opportunities to build capacity for families and enhance lifestyles," Ms Metcalf said.
Not only does Community Connect focus on building bridges but also maintains partnerships within the Mount Isa community.
Ms Metcalf said their efforts align with the needs and expectations of Mount Isa citizens.
"There are a lot of programs here doing great things and we want to help them achieve their goals," she said.
"Organisations such as the PCYC Youth Zone, Transitional Hub, YPA Mentoring program, Headspace and MyJust bail (support) are clear examples of work that is having a positive impact."
Ms Metcalf said Community Connect aims to develop a collaborative approach to improve connectedness, lifestyles and equality.
