Erika's Hair Studio opened two weeks ago at 10B Ramsey Street, and is already generating a busy client base.
Business owner Erika Zvaigzne decided to open her business after meeting her partner at Quamby and falling in love with Cloncurry.
"I have received an excellent response from the community," Ms Zvaigzne said.
"Everyone has been very supportive and they are happy for a new business to open in town.
"Clients have mentioned it was too far going to Mount Isa all the time, so it is handy to have a salon in town."
Ms Zvaigzne has no shortage of experience, with a 13 year hairdressing history.
"For 11 of those years I worked at Capricorn Hair Studio in Mount Isa and had a really good mentor and business role model," she said.
"I wanted to provide a salon experience to the locals of Cloncurry."
Ms Zvaigzne said the salon provided all services: kids cuts $15, mens cuts $30, ladies shampoo, cut and blowdry $60 just to name a few,
"Business has started to pick up and I am currently working Monday to Saturday," she said.
"Telstra has still not connected our phone line, so clients can ring me directly to book an appointment on 0499 430 363 or come in store."
