This year's Welcoming Babies Day will be held on Tuesday, March 17, from 10am to noon at the Civic Centre and will have a Teddy Bears' Picnic and St Patrick's Day theme.
Families are encouraged to bring along a blanket to sit on, as well a favourite teddy bear.
Now in its 13th year, the annual event sees families and their bubs enjoy an engaging, social morning that also includes information displays, giveaways, a delicious morning tea, music, and a chance to have a beautiful photo taken of them to remember the experience by.
The family of each baby will also receive a personalised certificate that officially welcomes their child as a citizen of Mount Isa.
Mayor Joyce McCulloch said she looks forward to meeting Mount Isa's new bubs and their families.
"It's always heart-warming to see so many families enjoying the relaxed, social and friendly atmosphere of our Welcoming Babies Day each year," Cr McCulloch said.
Local mum Courtney Heal, whose first baby, Franklin, is five months old, said she and a group of mums will be sure to attend the event.
"We've got a great little group going, so we'll probably all go together - this will be my first Welcoming Babies Day," Mrs Heal said.
To receive a Welcoming Baby Certificate, you will need to register online at https://www.mountisa.qld.gov.au/event-information-and-forms
People with a baby-related business or goods who are interested in having a stall at the Welcoming Babies Day event can register for a stall at the same link.
Registration forms are also available at the Library on West Street.
Registrations close 5pm on Friday, March 6.
