After decent rain in recent days the forecast for North West Queensland is for cloudy weather and a very high (90%) chance of showers or rain.
It's the same tomorrow, Australia Day with falls of between 15-40mm likely and Monday with 6-25mm possible
Watch out for Mount Isa City Council's Facebook page on Sunday morning to see if the weather causes any chances to its Australia Day schedule
The forecast for Tuesday January 28 is for a partly cloudy day with a high (70%) chance of showers and the chance of a thunderstorm.
The Bureau of Meteorology is predicted falls of between 8mm and 35mm.
Wednesday will be cloudy with a medium (60%) chance of showers and the chance of a thunderstorm with falls of up to 10mm.
The clouds will bring cooler weather with maximums of around 30 to 31 predicted for both days.
Mount Isa had 3.4mm on Wednesday January 22 , 7.0mm on Thursday January 23 with an ongoing total of 21.8mm on Friday.
Cloncurry recorded 18.4mm on Thursday but less than 2mm to Friday 6pm.
Normanton had 16.0mm for the week, well below its top day for the month when 54.2mm fell on January 6.
Julia Creek has mostly missed out by just over 6mm for the week to Friday.
Boulia has recorded no rain yet for the month.
The lake levels as of Friday were Julius 72.6% and Moondarra 46.1% - up one per cent from earlier in the week.
