Held at Good Shepherd Catholic College on Saturday November 13, the 2021 dancing event doubled as a Queensland Outback titles competition featuring competitors aged 5 to 41.
Isa Highlanders' Mary-Jane Caldwell said the first event since COVID was "a bit special".
"With highland dancing we are structured from Scotland and we have to put in our date from June/July of the year before so we already know our dates for next year," Ms Caldwell said.
"We had to source an adjudicator Amy Roach from Brisbane and we had her husband (Andrew) who's a piper so that added some flair to the competition."

Ms Caldwell said they had 51 entrants to the competition and they came from Mackay, Townsville, Normanton and the Burdekin to compete in the Isa.
"Mount Isa has the reputation as a good fun competition," she said.
"We have a special competition we called the Freddo Frog competition where the kids dance for Freddo Frogs."
Ms Caldwell thanked all involved in an awesome day.
"From our visiting competitors, our adjudicator, Mrs Amy Roach, our band of helpers, the Good Shepherd P & F who opened for us, the Good Shepherd Catholic College for whom nothing was too much trouble, Andrew Roach our special guest Freddo Frog Piper (a title I'm sure he has never had before), Mark from Isa Trophies and and our own Isa Highlanders kids that gave their best." she said.
